Belgium Tenders has a complex government, with three levels of legislating power: the federal level, the regional and community level, and the local level. The Belgian tenders Constitution is set up to allow for proportional representation for all members in each respective area- this allows for a more representative government. The Tenders Department handles requests from both private citizens as well as companies. Private citizens can make bids on different public projects that are then posted on their websites. Companies have other options available to them in order to participate in these public project bids, including seeking permission from the Department or through one of their representatives who will present companies offer at an open conference meeting where they will be evaluated by legal representatives and technical experts. www.public procurement.be Belgium's official eTendering website.
